Concensus reached to settle pensions dispute
On March 11, the government and labour market organisations reached an agreement in their dispute over the retirement age. A list of measures was agreed on, including setting up working groups to prepare guidelines on earnings-related pension schemes.

Joint World Conference on Social Work and Social Development held in Hong Kong 2010
The conference will be held from 10th to 15th June 2010 in Hong Kong. Three international and eight local hosts will jointly organize the conference. Tero Ristimäki is the new President of Talentia
Former Development Manager of Talentia was elected as the new President of the Trade Union Talentia. He received a clear majority of votes (56 - 11) against his opponent candidate Tarja Orjasniemi. Elections took place on the 29th of November in a yearly council meeting.
